Forsyth Humane Society and Art Unleashed! 2006 Yes! The Forsyth Humane Society unleashed a whole pack of canines and kitties on Winston-Salem’s downtown streets on Saturday, April 29, 2006. This fund raiser concluded with an auction that raised more than $80,000 that will help many adoptable animals in Forsyth County find loving homes. The pack - at peace with one another for the good of the real animals of Forsyth County - hit the downtown streets in a fabulous parade and street party in April of 2006. And on the streets they sat and stayed for most of the summer bringing people downtown. These dogs and cats decorated by some of the best artists in the area have offered dozens of reasons to call Winston-Salem, the City of the Arts! On August 26, 2006, the dogs and cats found permanent homes at the Adoption Party Auction that was held at the Wachovia Center in downtown Winston-Salem. It was a grand event that raised a magnitude of funds for the Forsyth Humane Society that exceeded our wildest expectations. Art Unleashed! will again raise funds for animals in need, who too often live out on the streets for real with Art Unleased! 2008. These funds will support the Humane Society’s “No-Kill” Adoption Center, Educational Outreach Programs, Sick and Injured Animal Fund, and Low-Cost Spay Neuter Assistance for Low-Income Pet Owners. By supporting Art Unleashed! you’ll help end animal overpopulation in our community. Together we can make a difference!
